Donate to the Kalkaska Library

Thank you for supporting the Kalkaska library! We believe in the power of community and we are driven to make Kalkaska County more vibrant for generations to come.

By supporting culture, promoting personal growth and encouraging civic participation, we help enrich lives in our region. We strive to collaborate, to nurture, to thrive— together.

BOOK DONATIONS

The library is not currently accepting book donations due to a lack of space in our building. Please consider donating your unwanted books to the Kalkaska COA or KAIR Kalkaska.

MONETARY DONATIONS

The Library’s day-to-day operations are funded by a modest public millage, some financial aid from the State, and a portion of penal fines. But it’s the support from our community that allows us to fully grow. Additional monies from grants and your generous donations enrich our traditional sources of funding, resulting in expanded programs and services for our patrons.

Please consider a donation to Kalkaska County Library. Donations can be made online via the form at the right, or by check, payable to the Kalkaska County Library.

Mail all checks to:
Kalkaska County Library,
247 S. Cedar Street,
Kalkaska, MI 49646

The Library wishes to acknowledge all gifts. Personal, corporate, or foundation gifts of $500 or more will be acknowledged on our forthcoming donor wall and, if appropriate, in the location where monies have been utilized. Contact us at (231) 258-9411 to include the Library in your planned giving or estate plans.

Donations to the Library qualify for a tax deduction. IRS publication 526 states that contributions to a federal, state or local government for a public purpose are tax deductible. The Library is a local government entity and your contribution will be used for the purpose of operating the Library or the construction of a new library building. Every person’s tax situation is different, however, so we recommend you consult with your tax advisor.
